About this speaker
Spiros Georgiou is the Head of Homelessness and Mental Health Supported Housing at Hightown Housing Association, where he leads services for people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages. With nearly a decade of experience in the supported housing and social care sector, Spiros is committed to embedding trauma-informed care and psychologically informed environments (PIEs) into everyday practice.
He is the Chair of the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) Operational Group in Hertfordshire—a multi-agency partnership that brings together housing, health, criminal justice, and support services to coordinate more effective, person-centred responses for individuals facing multiple disadvantage. In this role, Spiros facilitates collaborative working to reduce system gaps, improve outcomes, and champion holistic, wraparound care.
A passionate advocate for reflective practice, Spiros has led the integration of emotionally aware and ethically grounded approaches across teams, recognising their importance in mitigating moral injury, preventing burnout, and supporting frontline resilience. His leadership style is rooted in relational practice and co-production, promoting environments where both staff and the people we support can thrive.
